About Peer-to-Peer ViolenceRepresentações sociais dos estudantes em relação à violência entre pares ResumenLa investigación que se presenta en el siguiente documento se desarrolla en la Institución Educativa Distrital Provincia de Quebec, ubicada en la localidad quinta de Usme de la ciudad de Bogotá, Colombia.El propósito planteado es conocer y analizar las representaciones sociales de los estudiantes de grado quinto con respecto a la violencia entre pares, reconociendo sus propias voces y miradas acerca de esta problemática.Es un estudio de carácter cualitativo con enfoque hermenéutico desarrollado a partir de siete grupos focales, donde se presentan casos de violencia física, verbal o relacional y se profundiza en las representaciones sociales que poseen los participantes.El análisis de la información se realiza a partir de tres categorías: condiciones del contexto para la apropiación de las representaciones sociales, estructuración cognitiva de las representaciones sociales sobre violencia entre pares y dimensión actitudinal de las representaciones sociales de la violencia entre pares.De ahí se concluye que la representación social que poseen los niños y las niñas participantes frente a la problemática de la violencia entre pares está influenciada por el proceso cognitivo y las vivencias dadas en el entorno familiar, escolar y social, que genera representaciones que legitiman prácticas basadas en principios autoritarios, normativos y violentos, mientras que en pocos casos tienen un corte más dialógico, participativo y reflexivo.
