Abstract
Faire en sorte que l’innovation en ingénierie contribue au développement de solutions en harmonie avec la capacité de support de l’environnement, voilà ce que propose le biomimétisme. Après la présentation générale du concept de biomimétisme, l’emphase sera portée sur les méthodes et outils de mise en œuvre concrète de la démarche biomimétique en ingénierie afin de faciliter son implantation dans le processus de génération d’idées et d’innovation. L’ensemble des méthodes proposées constitue une boîte à outils au service de l’écoinnovation. Nous retrouvons dans cette boîte de solutions, les démarches fondées sur la consultation de la base de données AskNature, l’utilisation de cartes de conception, les moteurs de recherche scrutant la littérature biologique ainsi que la méthode Biotriz qui seront présentés dans cet article. Les mises en garde devant accompagner l’opérationnalisation du processus de conception inspirée par la nature ainsi qu’une méthodologie pour la mise en œuvre de l’approche biomimétique en ingénierie seront également présentées.
