Abstract

En mixant les propos de sept compositeurs contemporains (Brasset, Calon, Fano, Lepage, Lizée, Lussier, Piché), cette enquête s’intéresse aux interactions entre les mouvements visuels et les fluctuations sonores, aux enjeux de la composition musicale pour l’image, aux caractéristiques singulières de la perception audiovisuelle et aux effets de l’image (matérielle ou mentale) sur le processus de composition. En écoutant ces compositeurs décrire leur démarche de création, nous découvrons que l’image peut être une énergie, un matériau concret, un substrat, une résultante de l’écoute musicale, un artefact historique, une partition, un vecteur narratif, une strate dans un ensemble multimédiatique…
