Abstract
In deze studie is nagegaan door welke motieven toekomstgerichte glastuinders zich laten leiden bij de bedrijfsontwikkeling en welke kasconcepten en energietechnieken zij in gedachten hebben om hun bedrijf klimaatneutraler te maken.Daarvoor zijn veertien glastuinders met concrete plannen voor nieuwbouw en enkele adviesbureaus geïnterviewd.Uit de analyse kwamen drie subgroepen met bijhorende motieven, bedrijfskenmerken en ontwikkelingsvisies naar voren.Onder de huidige omstandigheden kiezen de meeste geïnterviewden voor standaard Venlo-kassen.Om klimaatneutraler te produceren, denken de geïnterviewden aan het verder uitkoelen van wk-warmte en aardwarmte.De studie wordt besloten met een advies voor het programma Kas als Energiebron over het stimuleren van klimaatneutraler telen en nieuwe kasconcepten.This study aimed to establish which motives lead future-oriented greenhouse growers in terms of business development, and which greenhouse concepts and energy technologies they intend to use in order to achieve more climate-neutral production.For the purposes of the study, interviews were carried out with some consulting firms as well as fourteen greenhouse growers with concrete plans for new-build greenhouses.The analysis highlighted three subgroups, each with associated motives, business characteristics and visions for development.Under current circumstances, the majority of interviewed parties opt for standard Venlo greenhouses.However, in order to achieve more climateneutral production, the interviewed parties are considering additional depletion of CHP heat and geothermal heat.The study concludes with a recommendation for the programme entitled 'Kas als Energiebron' ('Greenhouse as a source of energy'), which aims to stimulate more climate-neutral production and the development of new greenhouse concepts.
