Berceauville, c’est un village isolé des Laurentides au nord de Montréal, caractéristique d’un milieu pathogène. L’article décrit sur un mode anthropologique la vie sociale et communautaire de ce village. Alors que près de 40% des membres du village étaient régulièrement hospitalisés pour des raisons psychiatriques, l’intervention d’une équipe interdisciplinaire qui a vécu dans le village pendant cinq ans a entraîné une restructuration de la vie communautaire, une diminution draconienne de l’hospitalisation.
