Kawasan Karst Maros Pangkep dikenal dengan KKMP adalah ekosistem karst yang unik di Sulawesi Selatan. Bagian dari pegunungan Bulusaraung di Utara Maros dan bagian selatan Pangkep. 40.000 ha dari kawasan karstkaya akan flora dan fauna, yang bernilai ilmiah, sosial, budaya dan ekonomi. Kawasan tersebut berada dibawah tekanan dari persaingan penggunaan kegiatan ekonomi, seperti pertambangan untuk industri semen dan marmer. Tulisan ini mencoba untuk menilai kebijakan pengelolaan yang berkelanjutan bagi kawasan dengan menggunakan analisi multi kriteria OnBalance. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan Business as Usual dalam pengelolaan Kawasan Karst Maraos Pangkep tidak akan berkelanjutan dari dimensi Lingkungan, ataupun dimensi ekonomi, dan dimensi sosial budaya. Studi ini menawarkan pengelolaan KKMP dengan pendekatan konservasi dan ekowisata berbasis masyarakat.
