Abstract
Armand Frappier fait partie des pionniers de la recherche en microbiologie et de la médecine préventive au Québec. En 1938, il fonde l’Institut de microbiologie et d’hygiène de Montréal, le premier centre de recherche médicale canadien-français, qui avait notamment pour objectifs la recherche, la formation et la fabrication de produits biologiques. Bien des évènements se sont produits au sein de cette institution avant son rattachement à l’Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS). Dans le cadre du 75e anniversaire de l’œuvre d’Armand Frappier, l’histoire du Centre INRS–Institut Armand-Frappier nous est racontée à travers six capsules historiques rédigées par Pierre Payment, professeur au Centre depuis 1975.
