Abstract
À partir d’une enquête menée au sein des Départements des opérations de maintien de la paix et de l’appui aux missions de l’ onu , cet article met en évidence un processus d’environnementalisation des opérations de maintien de la paix. Il procède d’une dynamique bottom-up s’inscrivant dans les préoccupations environnementales croissantes qui se développent sur le terrain et d’une logique top-down en se matérialisant par la mise en place, au secrétariat, d’une politique environnementale pour l’ensemble des missions. En dépit d’une mise en oeuvre inégale et d’un verdissement limité, l’appropriation de l’environnement par les Casques bleus répond à des objectifs stratégiques de mise à l’agenda de l’environnement auprès des acteurs sécuritaires et de rapprochement entre environnement et sécurité à l’ onu .
