Abstract
La recherche entreprise se veut une réflexion quant au rôle du personnel enseignant dans la transmission linguistique et culturelle en contexte scolaire franco-ontarien. Par l’entremise d’entretiens semi-dirigés menés auprès de quinze enseignants oeuvrant au sein de deux écoles secondaires du Nord-Est ontarien, nous explorons les diverses facettes de l’identité professionnelle du personnel enseignant, afin de mieux cerner la façon dont celle-ci s’articule avec la transmission de la langue et de la culture. En exposant les représentations des enseignants à l’égard de ce rôle, nous tentons de mieux comprendre comment ces derniers vivent leur expérience de travail en milieu minoritaire.
