Abstract
La communauté juive est une composante importante de la société québécoise. Depuis les années 1980, et en grande partie grâce aux efforts de Pierre Anctil, elle est intégrée à son historiographie. Anctil poursuit cette entreprise dans deux ouvrages récents. Publiant et commentant les éditoriaux que Le Devoir a consacrés à la communauté juive, au Québec et ailleurs dans le monde, il enrichit et nuance un portrait qu’il avait déjà esquissé dans ses premiers travaux. Codirigeant un ouvrage consacré aux Juifs de la ville de Québec, il nous rappelle, avec ses collaborateurs, que cette communauté s’est aussi enracinée à l’extérieur de Montréal.
