Cet article examine le processus de patrimonialisation du catholicisme au Québec au cours des deux dernières décennies. À travers l’analyse de cas et de débats saillants tels la commission Bouchard-Taylor sur les accommodements raisonnables, le projet de Charte des valeurs québécoises proposé par le Parti Québécois, les débats autour du crucifix à l’Assemblée nationale et les poursuites et jugements de la cour sur la prière à Saguenay, nous étudions les formes discursives, matérielles et légales par lesquelles les pratiques et symboles catholiques sont resacralisés à titre d’éléments de la nation québécoise et de son histoire.
