Ce/Ni Decorated Titanate Based Perovskite for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

Abstract
In this study, a titanate based perovskite pinned with Ce decorated exsolved Ni nanoparticles (LSCNT) is developed for solid oxide fuel cells via a modified rhetorical phase reaction method. The exsolution of Ni nano particles with uniformly dispersed nanoscale Ce over the material surface can be obtained by sintering the material in consecutive atmospheres. The SOFC with the prepared anode shows promising electrochemical performance in both sour H 2 and dry CH 4 . In addition, the material also exhibits good carbon deposition resistance. The synergistic effect enabled the LSCNT to be a potential anode candidate operating in various fuels.
