Abstract
L’auteure trace un portrait de la pratique des conteuses au Québec, à partir d’une enquête par questionnaire. Elle interroge leur place au sein du renouveau du conte, leurs perceptions de l’art de conter et leurs prises de parole. En inversant certaines normes genrées et en valorisant des femmes « remarquables », souvent oubliées de l’histoire, les conteuses proposent de brouiller les stéréotypes sexués du conte, en offrant un nouvel espace d’oralité pour appréhender les rapports de sexe.
