Abstract
L’expérience autobiographique apparaît dans l’œuvre de Daniel Fabre à la fois comme une ressource et un filigrane. Dans Bataille à Lascaux. Comment l’art préhistorique apparut aux enfants, elle investit le parcours de recherche et l’écriture. Le détour par soi concerne aussi bien l’œuvre de Georges Bataille, pour qui l’interprétation des peintures pariétales de Lascaux n’est pas séparable de l’expérience de leur découverte, que le travail de son analyste. Grâce à ce détour, Daniel Fabre réalise, en effet, une série de franchissements d’échelles, passant d’une ethnologie des apparitions aux enfants, qu’elles soient préhistoriques ou mariales, à une anthropologie du symbolique et à une anthropologie du savoir anthropologique sur la naissance de l’humain.
