Abstract
Les professionnels de la communication développent une vision petite bourgeoise du monde et de la régulation de ses conflits : il en résulte qu’une « culture moyenne « (de classes moyennes) devient prédominante. Ouvriers et employés sont ainsi exclus d’une bataille dont l’enjeu est symbolique et leur rapport au changement social ne peut se situer que dans les domaines de l’utopie et de l’imaginaire. Les médias sont un moyen de production d’une classe sociale : cheminement actuel de la petite bourgeoisie vers le contrôle de l’intervention sur le social, à l’image de l’ascension de la bourgeoisie au moment de l’avènement de la société industrielle.
