Abstract
Dans le récit de voyage, toute forme qui incarne la présence d’une entité autre que « le référent » réel peut altérer la représentation de celui-ci. On réalise donc clairement dans cette optique à quel point le dialogisme et la polyphonie, en se manifestant dans le texte, seront susceptibles d’en perturber l’ekphrasis et son élaboration graduelle. Le dialogisme produit et perçu est un principe général et définitoire du langage tandis que la polyphonie est l’effet produit sur le discours par ce même dialogisme. Les passages du texte concernés par ces deux phénomènes complémentaires complexifient le tissu du texte et interpellent le lecteur, dont le principal objectif reste tout naturellement de suivre l’auteur-voyageur pas à pas dans son périple. Dans le présent travail, nous nous intéressons aux phénomènes de cet ordre qui constituent des facteurs majeurs d’écart dans les textes « viatiques ».
