Abstract
The article deals with the history of the first Orthodox Church on the territory of the future Novosibirsk city since the prayer house construction in the village of Krivoschekovo in the first quarter of XVIII century, its transfer to the Bugrinskaya village up to the closing the parish and the period of great fire in the St. Nicholas Church in village Bugry in early 1930-s. It is also reported on the personalities of well-known clergy of this Church. In addition, there are examined the unknown issues of the oldest city school, beginning its history as a parochial school at St. Nicholas Church. The results of the first archeological survey are adduced. They took place in 2015 on the place of the missing village of Krivoschekovo. In the course of the works the location of the church was defined presented in the remains of foundation. Moreover, about ten human burial places were discovered, several of buried people had Christian baptismal crosses which make it possible to age-date discovered burials as the period just before the end of the XVII century.
