Este texto pretende contribuir a la crítica de la novelística de la Violencia, a partir de un análisis de la realización estética de las obras Viento seco, El día del odio y El día señalado, novelas que coinciden en la característica de no presentar equilibrios entre el hecho histórico y el literario. La selección del corpus se articula con el ensayo Siete estudios sobre la novela de la Violencia en Colombia, una evaluación crítica y una nueva perspectiva, en el que su autor, Óscar Osorio, luego de hacer una metacrítica de los estudios sobre la temática, formula su propia perspectiva de análisis.
