Este texto pretende contribuir a la crítica de la novelística de la Violencia, a partir de un análisis de la realización estética de las obras <em>Viento seco</em>, <em>El día del odio</em> y <em>El día señalado, </em>novelas que coinciden en la característica de no presentar equilibrios entre el hecho histórico y el literario.<em> </em>La selección del <em>corpus</em> se articula con el ensayo <em>Siete estudios sobre la novela de la Violencia en Colombia, una evaluación crítica y una nueva perspectiva</em>, en el que su autor, Óscar Osorio, luego de hacer una metacrítica de los estudios sobre la temática, formula su propia perspectiva de análisis.
