Il ne suffit plus d'affirmer, comme je l'ai fait il y a plus de vingt ans, que les cultures minoritaires sont structurellement prives du registre du temps 1 , condamnes dans leur imaginaire propre et dans celui qui leur est assign, tmoigner de leur avenir incertain ou encore de leur puisement dans les rcits historiques et mmoriels dominants. Si ce constat reste aujourd'hui pertinent, il ne saurait nullement rendre compte des phnomnes de spatialit qui rgissent de faon complexe tous les ensembles culturels, mme les plus restreints. Qu'en est-il alors de l'espace qui, si l'on en croit Michel Collot, permettrait de dpasser certaines oppositions dbilitantes et de se soustraire l'emprise des dualismes historiques? Une culture peut-elle se rgnrer par la multidimensionnalit d'un sujet inscrit (enracin?) dans les paysages fictifs qui s'offrent sa conscience? 2 Comment mme rpondre cette question dans le cas de cultures qu'une longue histoire de domination a rendues incapables de s'approprier un lieu propre o puisse se construire symboliquement une prsence forte?
