Abstract Asymmetrische N,C‐chelatisierte Organoborverbindungen mit zwei unterschiedlichen Arylgruppen am Borzentrum gehen Photoisomerisierungen ein, bei denen infolge der ausschließlichen Reaktion an der weniger sperrigen Arylgruppe intensiv gefärbte “dunkle Isomere” entstehen. Diese Spezies isomerisieren thermisch durch einen direkten H‐Atomtransfer vom Boriranring auf den Pyridylring und Ringexpansion zu 4bH‐Azaborepinen. Mechanistische Einblicke in diese hoch regioselektive Umwandlung wurden sowohl aus kinetischen Daten als auch durch computergestützte Rechnungen erhalten.
