Fray Gabriel Chávez de la Mora (Guadalajara, 26 de noviembre de 1929) es un arquitecto mexicano, monje, liturgista y canónigo honorario de la Insigne y Nacional Basílica de Santa María de Guadalupe. Es un hombre con una destacada experiencia en la arquitectura religiosa mexicana y con gran aportación iconográfica propia. Es muy conocido por sus creaciones artísticas de iconografía, pintura, escultura, madera recortada, mobiliario, ajuar litúrgico, orfebrería, vestiduras litúrgicas, vitrales, fierro calado, mosaicos e incluso diseños de portadas de libros. La siguiente conversación con fray Gabriel explora parte de la espiritualidad y la arquitectura religiosa mexicana contemporánea. Fray Gabriel explica sus primeros contactos con la arquitectura religiosa, su experiencia con el Concilio Vaticano II y su aportación arquitectónica particularmente en el recinto sagrado del Tepeyac.
