Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Mots cles : trypanosomose, glossine, ovin, parasitemie, prevalence, Benin Although sheep occupy an important place in the countryside breeding, a few works is carried out on this animal in Benin especially as regards pathologies transmitted by the tsetse. With the aim of determining the prevalence of Trypanosome infection in sheep, an epidemiological investigation was carried out in the district of Kandi located in the south- Guinean area of Benin. The microscopic examination of 374 smears and thick drops stained with May Grunwald - Giemsa and made with blood of Djallonke, Sahelian and the Djallonke-Sahelian crossbred sheep enable to determine a total prevalence rate of 13.1 %. The species Trypanosoma vivax, Trypanosoma congolense and Trypanosoma brucei were identified. The prevalence of trypanosome was relatively higher in the Sahelian sheep than the Djallonke. The sheep of transhumant herds were more infected than those of the sedentary herds (p < 0.05). The adaptation of the Djallonke sheep to the tsetse infested areas can represent an alternative to the breeding of other more sensitive animals. Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
