Abstract
Ce texte propose de revenir sur la dernière élection générale fédérale qui a donné lieu à un retour en force du Parti libéral du Canada de Justin Trudeau. Dans un premier temps, il s’agit d’examiner la notion dite des élections pivots. Cette notion est souvent évoquée pour interpréter des élections comme celle ayant mené à la victoire des libéraux en octobre 2015. Dans un second temps, nous analyserons les résultats afin de contextualiser la victoire libérale afin d’identifier certaines forces, mais aussi faiblesses, des partis. C’est ce qui nous amènera, finalement, à explorer l’existence d’une rupture entre les libéraux et les conservateurs à propos de la politique étrangère.
