Abstract
Au Festival d’Avignon de 2010, Ludovic Lagarde a présenté Un mage en été d’Olivier Cadiot, interprété par Laurent Poitrenaux. Ce spectacle se présente comme une synthèse de leur compagnonnage. Le mage fusionne les figures de l’écrivain, du metteur en scène et du comédien, cristallise la rencontre de la littérature et du théâtre. Le motif de la réincarnation et de la métamorphose qui parcourt le texte est une définition du phénomène théâtral selon Nietzsche, mais également une métaphore des différents états du texte de Cadiot qui témoignent du processus de transposition du livre au plateau. Seul en scène, le mage n’en est pas moins le vecteur d’une polyphonie qui interroge constamment l’identité du « je ». Il s’agira de voir comment les synergies baroques, l’écriture de Cadiot et la dramaturgie lagardienne participent de ce phénomène d’instabilité.
