Abstract
L’auteure explore les biographies de l’ainee Stella Blackbird et de la chef Tammy Cook-Searson, deux membres de la tribu des Cris (Nehiyawak) fideles a la memoire de leur tribu. Elles ont invite les interessees a comprendre le statut des autochtones dans une justice environne mentale et de revitaliser Nehiyawak en vue d’une reconciliation et meme a une veritable redemption des autochtones qui ont subi les effets du racisme environne mental. La lecture des termes relies a Nehiyawak nous enseigne que “la langue est au cœur de ce que nous sommes’’ et que nous sommes lies intimement au bien-etre de la terre et aux politiques de ceux qui y demeurent.
