Abstract
A omnipresença dos ambientes digitais, com a consequente pulverização das fontes de informação, coloca importantes desafios à sociedade em geral e às comunidades educativas em particular. O acesso à informação alterou-se de forma radical nas últimas décadas. Porém os estudos disponíveis, a prática docente, ou mesmo o senso comum, mostram que as competências evidenciadas pelos alunos estão aquém das exigências colocadas pelo crescimento do vasto universo da informação. A rede de bibliotecas de Évora, ao integrar bibliotecas de todos os níveis de ensino, do 1º ciclo ao ensino superior, pode contribuir quer para o incremento de competências informacionais quer para a disseminação de comportamentos éticos perante a informação.
