Abstract
Choricius of Gaza, Apologia mimorum p. 344.4–8 Foerster-Richtsteig, seems to reflect a passage of Simonides (fr. 93 Page). However, an examination of the context allows the suggestion that this late author is not alluding to Simonides directly but rather through Plato’s imitation.
