Abstract

Une campagne de prospection menée par 1’équipe gréco-canadienne sur le site de Kastro Kallithea a révélé plusieurs périodes d’occupation. L’Âge du Fer est représenté, au pied de la collide, par quatre tombes à tholos que nous avons déjà étudiées. L’acropole a probablement été construite à 1’époque classique, alors que les fortifications et le centre urbain, composé de maisons et de rues à plan orthogonal, datent de la fin du IV c siécle. Le site semble avoir été abandonné à 1’époque hellénistique. Kastro Kallithea nous permet donc de mieux comprendre l’organisation de l’espace urbain dans la région aux époques classique et hellénistique.
