Parmi les nombreux petits objets mis à jour lors de récentes fouilles au Sanctuaire d’ « Athéna » à Stymphale en Arcadie, figurent plus de 250 bijoux de la fin de l’époque classique et de l’époque hellénistique. Ces boucles d’oreilles, bagues, bracelets, broches et perles sont pour la plupart en bronze et en fer mais certains sont en argent et en or. Cet important groupe d’ex-voto nous permet non seulement d’étudier le sexe, la richesse et le statut de la population locale qui participait à ce culte, mais aussi de combler certaines lacunes chronologiques dans le développement stylistique des bijoux dans le nord-est du Péloponnèse.
