Este artigo aborda a oportunidade de introdução de conceitosde compras verdes nos processos de compras de bens emateriais da Petrobras S.A; tomando como base para osestudos o setor de Suprimentos da Regional Norte e Nordeste.Dessa forma, os processos de compras contemplariamtambém aspectos de ecoeficiência, utilizando o poder decompra como elemento de contribuição para práticas deresponsabilidade ambiental. Para isto, o procedimentometodológico aplicado para garantir os dados necessáriosfocou os pontos abordados no referencial teórico da pesquisae no entendimento e desenvolvimento dos estágios deimplementação da norma canadense CSA Z766-95. Assim,com os resultados quantitativos e qualitativos do desenvolvimentodo roteiro de implementação da norma supracitada,foi desenvolvida e validada uma estratégia de compras verdescom base na criação de contratos globais de fornecimento deprodutos ambientalmente amigáveis previamente selecionados,contribuindo para indução de comportamentoambientalmente responsável por parte dos seus fornecedores.
