Abstract
L’article vise à montrer que le dispositif de protection de l’enfance au Québec constitue un environnement institutionnel où le sentiment amoureux n’a que peu d’écho, en particulier en ce qui a trait à un phénomène que des professionnelles nomment « l’amour pour les familles ». L’un des obstacles relève de la représentation dominante de l’amour en Occident et de la difficulté à distinguer entre différentes catégories du sentiment amoureux. Un modèle alternatif de l’amour y est présenté. Il permet de rendre compte des expressions « clandestines » de l’amour pour les familles chez les professionnelles.
