Abstract
Each year, the recipients of the AAU Awards (one for Educational Leadership and two for Distinguished Teaching) are invited to facilitate a plenary session at the AAU Teaching Showcase. This paper is an invited essay giving the award recipients an opportunity to reflect on teaching and learning in higher education.
