Abstract
Cet article analyse les significations de deux fêtes de la diversité à Montréal : la fête nationale de la Saint-Jean-Baptiste sur la rue Saint-Viateur et les Week-ends du monde au parc Jean-Drapeau. Ces fêtes interrogent l’ancrage local des communautés culturelles, leurs liens au territoire ainsi que leurs rapports à la société montréalaise en général. Plus globalement, elles sont le reflet d’un glissement du cosmopolitisme comme projet politique et social à un cosmopolitisme marchand.
