Michel Despland est un spécialiste d’histoire des religions de renommée internationale. Né à Lausanne mais émigré au Canada depuis le milieu des années 1960, il a enseigné pendant l’essentiel de sa carrière au département de sciences religieuses de l’Université Concordia de Montréal.
