Abstract
Analyse d’objets d’époque romaine de la Collection Tarbell du David and Alfred Smart Museum of Art, Université de Chicago. On peut voir en ces objets de verre des jetons de jeu ou des bijoux. Selon la première identification, ces pièces pourraient appartenir au jeu romain des « voleurs » ( ludus latrunculorum ) dont les règlements nous sont fort mal connus. Aussi nous attarderons-nous aux implications sociales de ce jeu plutôt qu’à sa reconstitution. Dans le second cas, ces objets pourraient être des éléments de bijoux sertis dans des montures de métal tels des chatons de bagues.
