Abstract
Les fouilles de Belozerskoe (vers 400–375 av. J.-C.) nous permettent de mieux comprendre la population du Bas-Dniepr et d’expliquer la position dominante d’Olbia située dans le sud-est de la région. Le site a révélé trois périodes d’occupation dont la première — la plus importante — présente des maison de pierre et de briques crues au ras du sol dont les toits étaient couverts de tuiles, de grandes structures de maisons à fondations souterraines et une grande variété d’objets de facture locale ou importés. L’agriculture, la pêche, l’artisanat et le commerce locaux y assuraient de bonnes conditions d’existence. Le secteur, détruit par le feu à la fin du IV e siècle, fut reconstruit, puis abandonné au début du III e siècle avant J.-C.
