Abstract
La réception des contenus des conversations quotidiennes est une question qui a peu été traitée tant en communication qu’en sociologie de l’interaction. Cet article présente et conceptualise différents moments de la réception normative des conversations à partir d’un matériau spécifique, soit une série de récits de conversations quotidiennes. Vingt personnes provenant de différents milieux nous ont fait part de l’ensemble des conversations auxquelles ils ont participé les sept jours précédents. Il ressort de ces entretiens, que nous proposons de nommer « débriefings », que le processus de réception des conversations se fait tant en amont, en acte et en présence qu’en aval de leur tenue, trois moments ayant émergé du matériel. Nous présentons aussi les dimensions de la réception conversationnelle propres à son immédiateté, à son caractère collectif ainsi que le rapport qu’elle entretient avec la conversation intérieure des interlocuteurs. Ce processus constitue une strate importante de la socialisation ordinaire, des rapports intersubjectifs quotidiens et de la normativité sociale.
