Au filtre de la spatio-temporalité qui est particulière à la photographie, ce texte examine la fabrique d’images de ruines urbaines par les adeptes de l’ urbex (exploration urbaine), suivant trois axes : l’image fixe, le mouvement – des images tout aussi bien que celui des explorateurs – et l’interface. Étudier la production photographique des explorateurs urbains permet de comprendre le rôle et l’action des images dans la création de communautés d’internautes. Les explorateurs agissent en effet dans un espace de circulation pour ainsi dire en extension, le web et les images qui y sont publiées reflétant et dévoilant les lieux mêmes de l’exploration, tout en créant un espace autre , non seulement lieu d’échanges et de discussion, mais aussi lieu de mémoire et de documentation.
