Abstract
Professor Antonio Aledo dedicou décadas ao estudo do Turismo, sobretudo em pesquisas sobre as chamadas segundas residências.Em princípio, suas pesquisas apontam as segundas residências como prática de turismo, porém, ao longo do tempo tal perspectiva mudou.Seus escritos mais recentes questionam a prática da residência secundária na sua relação com a atividade turística e incluem novas proposições.O objetivo deste artigo está em discutir o conceito de na bibliografia do autor, observando-o e/ou contrapondo-o com olhares de outros autores que abordam a temática.Para tal foi utilizado como procedimento metodológico a pesquisa bibliográfica sobre a temática proposta, apresentando como obra basilar os textos do professor Aledo.A análise indica um caminhar coeso no tempo na evolução das práticas turísticas de segunda residência, podendo contribuir à compreensão do ócio e lazer como propulsores dessas construções.
