Cet article étudie la série américaine The Affair (Showtime, 2014-) qui articule l’anatomie d’une passion amoureuse à la représentation d’un auteur en devenir. Il analyse le rôle de la figure de l’écrivain dans la peinture acerbe qui est faite du milieu éditorial mais aussi le travail particulier sur le langage. Plus encore, en ressort un questionnement sur la validité des récits et les liens inextricables unissant la fiction et la réalité.
