Abstract
This paper aims at verifying how Canadian migration and multicultural policies have changed in the past 16 years, after the attack on the Twin Towers, with a particular reference to women. \nCanada, with its multicultural identity and peculiar history, is a very varied and complex universe, which cannot be examined by a women's only perspective. \nThe foundations on which the discourse is built will be on the one hand, the policies of recognition and inclusion in citizenship aimed at reducing the gender gap, discrimination, and violence; on the other, the demand of feminist organizations for institutions within a very lively debate.
