Abstract
Cette étude avait pour objectif d'établir un premier portrait des élèves vivant dans des familles négligentes et qui franchissent un passage important, soit la transition du primaire au secondaire.L'échantillon est constitué de 7 élèves qui fréquentent une école secondaire de la région de Québec.Les élèves ont été interrogés par le biais d'entrevues sur des sujets tels la structure et le fonctionnement familial, le vécu scolaire ainsi que le vécu social.Les résultas de l'étude ont été analysés de façon qualitative et des études de cas ont été effectuées pour chaque sujet.Les résultats démontrent que les jeunes faisant l'objet de mesure de protection en raison d'une situation de négligence présentent des difficultés personnelles, sociales et scolaires et que le passage du primaire au secondaire est un moment difficile pour les élèves, particulièrement pour certains qui sont plus vulnérables.
