Abstract
Bien des changements caractérisent le passage au statut social dit de « retraité ». Dans un premier temps sont brièvement présentées certaines statistiques et quelques particularités des politiques canadiennes et québécoises sur la retraite : données sociodémographiques, financement public et privé, lien d’emploi, soins de santé… Toutefois, il sera principalement question des dimensions psychosociologiques de l’expérience de la retraite vécue par des personnes qui franchissent cette importante transition. Cette analyse s’appuie sur des données produites dans le cadre d’une expérience des auteurs, pendant une douzaine d’années, dans la conduite de séminaires de recherche-formation fondée sur la méthodologie des récits de vie individuels ou en groupe. Différentes figures de « retraitement » de la vie sont présentées, une certaine typologie des parcours de retraite, tout en soulignant le caractère singulier de l’expérience vécue de la personne.
