À fin de mieux saisir le potentiel des idées issues du courant poststructuraliste par rapport au projet éducatif humaniste et rationaliste privilégié dans les systèmes d’éducation contemporains, cet article présente un certain nombre de travaux produits dans le champ de la philosophie de l’éducation qui reposent sur les idées de deux penseurs considérés comme des représentants majeurs du poststructuralisme : Michel Foucault et Jacques Derrida. L’article s’efforce de clarifier certaines fausses représentations de ce courant, de présenter brièvement quelques-uns de ses principes clés et de justifier plus clairement sa pertinence pour pense l’éducation dans le monde contemporain, notamment pour penser l’éducation dans une perspective a-téléologique.
