Abstract
En février 1973, quelques comités regroupant des locataires de logements sociaux (logements financés par l’État, par l’intermédiaire de la Société Nationale du Logement) se sont retrouvés. Tous, ils réalisent un travail syndical, regroupant des locataires pour défendre collectivement leurs intérêts. Ainsi est née la Fédération Nationale des Habitants de Cité. Défense juridique, dossiers, soutien des comités locaux, confrontation des expériences, négociations et affrontements avec les pouvoirs publics : tel est le travail rendu possible par ce regroupement de comités. Travail réalisé avec les habitants et non pour eux.
