Abstract
Penser le statut de l’expérience de vie de la retraite dans le contexte des transformations en cours dans le monde du travail est l’objet de la présente contribution. Douée d’une potentialité créatrice sur les plans individuel et social, et libératrice des contraintes de la production, la « vie de retraite » (L. Sève) constitue une réalité dissidente du point de vue de la rationalité néolibérale. Celle-ci dénie, en effet, la continuité générative des temps de la vie et la complexité anthropologique en réduisant le sujet à un « espace de compétition » (P. Dardot et C. Laval). La prise d’un nouveau point de départ, dont la retraite est l’occasion, constitue une réplique aux échos fantômes du sentiment de dette généré par la nouvelle organisation de la production et à l’inquiétude ressentie face au déploiement de la brutalité rationnelle expulsant l’individu du lieu de vie et de pensée que constitue le travail.
