Abstract
A l'occasion des dix ans de sa disparition, cet article revient sur l’ensemble de l'oeuvre d’André Gorz (1923‑2007), en proposant une périodisation en quatre volets: l'analytique existentialiste (1946/1955), la tentative de refonder le socialisme (1959/1969), puis de le dépasser (1973/1983) avant de revenir au marxisme au travers du motif des Grundrisse et des technologies de l'information (1983/2007). Nous montrons la cohérence et l’exigence d'un philosophe qui n’a jamais renoncé à évaluer les possibles offerts par son temps. Gorz a cependant laissé de côté ce que l'écologie impliquait de remise en cause à propos de la modernité.
