Abstract
Nephrotic syndrome (NS), a condition that may occur in the context of various glomerular diseases, has been associated with venous thromboembolism (VTE) and less commonly with arterial thromboembolism (ATE). Although the association of ATE with NS has been challenged in the past,1 there is increasing evidence supporting this hypothesis.2,3 ATE in NS patients has been reported in several sites such as the coronary, peripheral, and cerebral circulations.3 Multiple factors have been associated with the risk of thromboembolism in NS patients.
