Abstract
Le nombre de travailleurs etrangers temporaires au Canada a augmente de facon considerable depuis le debut des annees 1990. Les travailleurs etrangers temporaires sont egalement devenus une source de plus en plus importante de residents permanents admis au Canada au cours de cette periode. A l?aide du Fichier des residents temporaires et du Fichier d?etablissement des immigrants, le present article documente les changements aux niveaux et aux types de nouveaux travailleurs etrangers temporaires qui sont arrives au Canada de 1990 a 2014. Il analyse egalement les schemas de transition de l?etat de travailleurs etrangers temporaires a celui de residents permanents, ainsi que les categories d?immigration par lesquelles les travailleurs etrangers temporaires ont recu leur residence permanente.
