Abstract
Dans la crise qui secoue aujourd’hui l’économie française avec la montée toujours non enrayée du chômage, la restructuration des entreprises et la modernisation de l’appareil de production, que deviennent les immigrés venus travailler en France depuis la dernière guerre mondiale ? Quelles sont leurs chances d’adaptation à de nouveaux emplois ? Tout cela peut se lire dans une histoire : celle de la formation proposée à ces groupes au cours des 30 dernières années; mais aussi dans des orientations : celles données aujourd’hui par les organismes gouvernementaux appelés à financer les actions de formation pour les immigrés. L’auteur tente de donner un aperçu d’ensemble de cette problématique, et essaie de faire apparaître les contradictions qui la traversent.
